Editorial policy

What you can expect from a page on this site, who is responsible for it, and how to get it fixed.

Effective Sep 7, 2026

Standards

  • Every pay figure, growth rate, and education share is generated by software from the government file it cites. Nobody types numbers into pages.
  • Every claim that could be doubted carries its source inline. Where a source does not exist, we say “not published” instead of estimating.
  • We do not use “up to” figures, earnings testimonials, or outcome claims for any program.
  • Costs and durations for credentials are ranges gathered from providers and state boards on the date shown under the page title.
  • Job listings are quoted, not paraphrased: the education sentence the label rests on appears on the listing as the employer wrote it.

How pages are made

The Degreeless Jobs research desk builds each page from the data described in the methodology. We use AI tools to help draft and edit the written sections, and an editor reviews every page against the standards above before it is published and after each data rebuild. AI tools never produce a number that appears on the site; the numbers come from code that reads the source files.

Independence

No school, course provider, employer, or advertiser can pay for placement on a career page, for a change to a label, or for a favorable description. Affiliate links are chosen after the recommendation is written, and a page’s recommendation does not change when a partner joins or leaves. Employer-paid featured listings must meet the same rules as every other listing and are labeled. See the advertising disclosure.

Corrections

If something on a page is wrong, tell us through the contact page and say which page and which line. We correct the page, add a note at the bottom of it describing the change, and rebuild any other page that showed the same figure. Wrong listing labels are corrected the same way, and the listing is re-checked against the employer’s posting.

What we do not do

  • We do not publish guest posts, sponsored articles, or paid links inside editorial text.
  • We do not sell, rent, or share reader email addresses.
  • We do not list jobs that require a degree, charge applicants, or pay commission only, whatever the employer offers to pay us.
