Affiliate links

Some career pages link to courses, exam-preparation programs, or licensing schools. When a link is an affiliate link, we earn a commission if you enroll or buy after clicking it, at no extra cost to you. Those links are marked “Paid link,” and a disclosure box appears on the page above the first one. Links without the mark are plain links that pay us nothing.

Recommendations are written before any partner is chosen. If a partner leaves, the recommendation stays and the link becomes a plain link. If a page describes a path that has no partner (an apprenticeship, a community college program, an employer-paid academy), it says so and links to the public program.

Featured job listings

Employers can pay to feature a listing at the top of a listing page or in the weekly email. A featured listing must meet the same rules as every other listing on the site (education requirement below a bachelor’s, no fees, no commission-only pay, posted on the employer’s own system) and is labeled “Featured.” Payment never changes a requirement label.

Newsletter sponsorships

A sponsor can buy a clearly labeled slot in the weekly email. Sponsored content is marked “Sponsored” and sits apart from the listings and the editorial text.

What we do not do

• We do not sell or share reader email addresses or any other personal data. See the privacy policy.
• We do not accept payment for placement on a career page, a data page, or in editorial text.
• We do not run display advertising networks at this time. If that changes, this page will say so first.
